I am a Contact Jam/Event Organizer.

We currently offer a weekly drop-in contact improv class taught by Kayoko Nakajima, Fridays from 12 – 2 pm. We also periodically offer workshops. Past teaching artists have included Mana Hashimoto and Akiko "Bo" Nishijima. We also offer classes in other forms of improvisation, including Action Theatre Improvisation and Butoh. I host the monthly Ithaca Contact Improv Jam which currently is held on the third Sunday of the month at the Ahimsa Yoga Studio in the Dewitt Mall, 215 North Cayuga Street, Ithaca, from 1-3 PM. Beginners are always welcome; there is a donation basket for space rental, $3-5 is suggested. If you're not sure the monthly Jam will be happening, please call Doug at 607-339-7085.
