1ST INTERNATIONAL CONTACT IMPROVISATION
FESTIVAL,
CLUJ-NAPOCA, ROMANIA

TRANS-CONTACT - 1st International Contact
Improvisation Festival (Cluj-Napoca, Transilvania) brings together for
the first time in Romania professional movers (dancers, actors,
choreographers) as well as amateurs to explore Contact Improvisation
in an intensive week of workshops, research, discussions and jams led
by internationally acclaimed coaches. It is a unique form to introduce
Contact Improvisation to the Romanian dance and theatre community
through international collaboration. It aims to develop in the
participants an awareness of the importance of this movement technique
in the creative process of performing arts. TRANS-CONTACT will take place between July 29 - August 6, 2006 at Octavian Stroia Ballet School's dancing studios, in the centre of Cluj-Napoca. Fees 150 EUR (one course + warm ups) Accomodation We are happy to help participants find a place during their stay in Cluj-Napoca.
