Her teaching specialties include Acting, Movement, and Voice in addition to serving as a dialect, vocal, and text coach. Also an actor, she has worked professionally with such companies as Triad Stage, the North Carolina Shakespeare Festival, The Cherry Orchard Theatre, Hope Summer Repertory Theatre, and Playmakers Repertory Company. Her dialect, vocal, and text coaching credits include The Threepenny Opera, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Birthday Party, A Midsummer Night’s Dream (winner, Faculty Merit Award, ACTF), Cabaret, A Chorus Line, Arcadia, Dark of the Moon (winner, Faculty Merit Award, ACTF), West Side Story, The Country Club, Absent Friends, Crimes of the Heart, The Reluctant Dragon, Voice of the Prairie, and The Taming of the Shrew. As a playwright, Lisa has had four short plays produced at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and continues work on several pieces including a full-length play about her grandmother’s experiences growing up in Scotland during WWII. She has her MFA in Acting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her BA in Dramatic Arts and English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. |
