Improv Jam/ Barefoot Boogie

WHAT: Sometimes we dance in silence, sometimes we play a variety of music on cd, or live musicians join us as we dance by candlelight in a smoke-free, friendly and encouraging environment.
WHEN: every fourth Sunday night, 7 - 9pm. From 6 - 6:45pm, there is a free 'Contact Improv Basics' class.
WHERE: Karuna Centre for dance & yoga, #202 - 1025 Cliffe Ave, Courtenay BC, (directly across the street from the Dairy Queen. The studio is on the second floor between 'Atomic Tattoo' and 'Level 10 Eurospa'. The entrance is at the back of the building, off 10th Street.)
COST: Donations accepted for studio rent.

Manitoba

Winnipeg, Manitoba Jam

WHAT: Free open improvisation jam and open to all artists, dancers, musicians, poets, and anyone who wants to come. It isn't strictly contact but often has contact. Young Lungs Dance Exchange, an organization that was started as a network of support for artists, hosts the jam.
WHERE: 211 Bannatyne Ave, enter through the Pita Pit. We either jam in Winnipeg's Contemporary Dancers Space or The School of Contemporary Dancers Space there.
WHEN: Sunday evenings starting at about 7:30/8 till about 9/10 (We try to hold it regularly but depending on our schedules it isn't always possible, so call first)
COST: Free
